racing thoughts and 'lost time'

Posted by herpills on February 27, 2012, at 17:29:04

Something happened to me this morning, something that has happened to me in the past but it has been almost two years.

After I woke up, I sat on the edge of my bed, and instantly started having racing thoughts. My racing thoughts are usually very fast, and very random. So as this was going on, I also started to rock back and forth, as if that was providing some sort of relief, I'm not sure. But here's the part that bothers me. I thought that about 10 minutes has gone by, but when I got up and looked at the clock, it had been 3 hours since I had woken up, and I was doing that constantly the whole time.

Can anyone relate to this? I've also had some depression and I'm concerned I'm going into a mixed episode.

I'm thinking about going back on Saphris if I don't feel better soon.

I also just got some Lovaza but I'm not convinced that's going to work quickly, but I'm going to start taking it. herpills

i've had it where about an hour or so had gone by but i cant ssay three hours. and mine had been due to dissociative episodes.

do you have dissociation disorder at all? i also know that one time when i was on some mix with ritalin LA time had seem to be on some rubber band stretching out.

so i know some meds can mess with time.
i'd say if it happens again it needs to be mentioned to pdoc. otherwise chalk it up to meds and not being fully alert.

mean time be aware of your body and if it happens again.

This hasn't happened to me. Any reason to wait on the Saphris? Well, this sounds concerning. Take care.

Thanks for the response. I've never been diagnosed with a dissociative disorder, but i did have a former pdoc who thought I was having some of the symptoms. I'll be bringing this up with my current doc but can't see her for another month. I started Saphris 5mg last night...

Thanks, Beckett. I've always been med phobic even though I know I need them and they help me. I've been on Saphris before though so I know what to expect- better sleep, better mood, less racing thoughts....but, probably a little weight gain too! I started Saphris again last night...thanks again, herpills
