for those that take 2 milligrams of klonopin a day....do the space it out roughly between 12 hours ..or take it anytime.....and if taken anytime will you feel the peaks and valleys ....anxiety/headaches /nausea etc....or is it to long acting for that to happen

hey joe- (couldn't resist!)
i am tapering off 2mg of klonopin right now. i took the whole 2mg at night before bed.
i'm at 1.5mg now for the next month hopefully.
to answer your question i felt no real 'peaks or valleys' as i worked my way up to 2mg. it helps me sleep and, at least for me, has kept me pretty calm, maybe too calm thru the whole day.
as they always say; ymmv.

I did well on 1mgs 2x daily. Some people dose it 3x daily. I imagine you'd want the bigger chunk in 3x daily dosing to be at night.

I'm not on as high a dose as you, but I take it all in the morning. It covers me for the day. I don't take it at night because it doesn't really help me sleep. I'm most anxious during the earlier part of the day.
When I was on 1.5mg day I divided it into three doses.

I also do not take as much as you,however,my anxiety comes at night,mostly when trying to go to sleep.I take my dose all at night,9pm.

I'd take 1mg in the morning and q1mg at night, or,
1mg at night, 0.5mg in the morning and 0.5mg when you feel the need.Klonopin is longish acting (half life well in excess of 24 hours), so you shouldnt feel peaks and troughs on a doseage like that

unfortunately anything under1.5 will not give me sleep.....and i don't want to rely on a sleeping aid and won't go above .5 in the am .....God i miss my ativan

did you ever get an ativan injection in the hospital? Now that calmed me down and I finally slept.I couldnt believe how fast it worked.

took ativan 1.5 for sleep and .55 in day about a year ago...then switched to klonopin ..then ativan (ocd) over the course of a year dr. won't let me go back and switch again....getting really pissed...

he doesn't buy it and i'm getting pissed ...also phillipa its been 3 days now since i went from 60 cymbalta to 30 no real withdrawel that i can feel...seem a little calmer......i hate to switch docs over the ativan issue
