Goodness. Such trusting faith. I'd have some sort of existential crisis. I can only go so far as reading the labels on the Mother energy drinks in Woolworths, and that, plus looking at the cigarette counter normally does it for me.

sigi, there are Woolworth's still there? I have the fondest memories of Woolworth's.

Mc Donalds isn't really food. Even my son will tell you that the human body does not recognize McDonalds as food.

But many of us here are on drugs as one of my less than understanding family members might say. On their way out the door to get their 'fourth meal' at Taco Bell.

Phil, this would be a great blog entry.

You might not believe this. This is eerie. I am at a Starbucks and someone is playing Amy's Back to Black right this very second.

I hope your morning is a good enough one.

I'm just having a look round for some of the labels on the Mother Energy Drink. I have found this (it was really on the label, but I had not read it)

If you need a MOTHER of an energy hit, you need MOTHER. It delivers twice the kick, in a big black can. So now when a mate turns up with a wussy-sized can, you can raise your MOTHER up and proudly say, did yours come with a man-bag?.

Anyway it is the most appalling drink, marketed I see now by the Coca Cola company, the marketers of a product that lost its appeal the moment the cocaine was removed.

I DO go to Woolworths. It is a badge of shame for me. Just yesterday I said to the librarian (just to provoke her) 'Well, I'm off to Woolworths' and of course she said 'Shame on you.' These companies are eating up what is left of our towns, but I needed the kangaroo meat and the red wine.

Sigi, we are discussing very different woolworth's here.

In the US they were called five and dimes. They had a small lunch or soda counter.

They folded here in the 80's I believe.

Let me go see my expert witness wiki.

Well what the heck did I know.

Now leaving Starbucks, my badge of shame.

Now leaving Starbucks, my badge of shame. But they have free wi-fi (that's what it's called, right?) and I have an iPad (a real badge of shame from the evil empire of apple).

>Woolworths Limited is the largest retail corporation in Australia, operating a variety of supermarket and other retail chains in Australia and New Zealand. The name Woolworths was legally taken to capitalize on the F.W. Woolworth name since they did not do business in Australia and had not registered the trademark there but is in no other way connected to the U.S. or U.K. Woolworths.[5]

Yeah, I see, there's no connection. Very different. Kind of nice in a downbeat way. I've never taken any of those AAPs. I did have breakfast with a friend on mirtazepine and I noticed he had a milkshake. Must be a closet puritan.

Jay and Phil, do you guys really regularly eat like this at MickieD's? Sounds like early death to me.

This is so f*ck*d up. We are giving people these medications to help them feel better, and all the while, both the medications and the diet they induce are going the cause the brain to function worse later in life. High carb diets and bad fats cause brain inflammation, which is believed now to be a primary culprit in neurodegenerative disorders.

People eat at McDonalds though I am reading this thread as a bit of humor.

Oh I thought it was hilarious. I just know what it's like to be on those drugs. You no longer care about what you are eating.

Glad to hear you are doing better!

Thanks, Morgan. You are right, though, I think, about that spiral effect. I had never put that together before.

It is f*ck*d up.

Had a physical today. Please step on the scales. OMG.
Even doing psych meds for 30 years, I've never had a weight problem till lithium, zyprexa, and seroquel took up residence.
I'm going to do blood work tomorrow(kinda backwards)and I'm sure the results will be hideous.
As far as my wretched fast food diet, cigarette smoking, and other risk taking, one must realize that life, for so long, has meant little more than death to me.
Although I'm not going to throw myself off of a fishing boat tomorrow with an anchor tied to my leg, if it happened, I'd have no regrets.

If that's all there is, then let's keep dancing.

If so, I would weep as a child when I heard it on our old tube radio.

Figures.

Soft spot in my heart for those B girls.
