Abilify didn't work suddenly for me, either. It took several weeks, maybe a bit more than a month (I can't quite remember now) to get substantial relief from 30mgs/day.

Hi, i am planning to up abilify to 30 mg from 15 mg

add lithium

replace Ativan by Tranxene 15 mg twice daily

thats it, if that wont do it, i will try Saphris, and if that wont do it, i am planning to go into A glutamate anti psychotic trial :(

I know that I keep shoving this thing in your face, but:

Abilify might prevent Seroquel from working.

When you responded well to Seroquel, were you taking Abilify?

Don't you think that there is a possibility that Abilify is preventing the Seroquel from working properly? Why don't you recreate the exact same treatment regime that worked the first time? Simple.

Tell your doctors that some idiot on PB postulates that the DA receptor partial agonist property of Abilify is preventing the full antagonism of the postsynaptic receptors by Seroquel.

Think about it. You did great without Abilify when the Seroquel worked the first time. The XR version of Seroquel would not work any better than the IR version. It just allows for once-a-day dosing rather than twice-a-day.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ???

if the seroquel XR would have worked it would have been 8 months ago

they just upped the ablilify to 15 mg 2 months ago and i felt it kicked in last week... strange, i was better for a few days then nothing...

This is not strange at all. It is the result of a rapid accommodation by neural tracts to the effects of Abilify. Talk to your doctor about discontinuing this drug if 20-30mg proves ineffective.

Does this make sense to you?

Why or why not?

This drug Abilify was given to me as emergency 4 years ago in a hospital to combat psychotic mania

what else is good, Saphris, i have to wait 3 months to get it.

i dont like abilify, 1 it doesnt work, 2. only for mania 3. too many side effects like anxiety and nervousness and general sh*t

That's an interesting idea.

I'm sorry to have to ask this again, but are you schizoaffective? If so, the lithium might do the trick.

is there any danger if adding lithium to seroquel XR can activate the tachardia effect like it did with Glycine? almost died
