Provigil tolerance

Posted by Zana on July 21, 2011, at 16:58:38

I have been on Provigil for about 3 years steadily with good results. Recently it has pooped out. Has anyone one had any experience going off provigil and restarting it? How long would I have to stay off? Any withdrawal?
Thanks.

Don't know. Have you tried the new med out related to Provigil? It's called Nuvigil?

I think they are very similar - not sure why Nuvigil came out unless Provigil is going to go generic sometime.

Both drugs are very expensive on my insurance as they don't come in generic.

Maybe you should ask your doc for some samples of Nuvigil and try that for now. You can always go back to Provigil.

I hear a lot of people say their meds have stopped working. May be common - don't know.
