From what i understand it acts on the THC receptors in the brain, which I believe is what creates the "stoned" effect. From what Ive read It also raises seratonin levels in the brain.

I have to admit I am not particularly knowledgeable in neurobiology of OCD, but I wouldn't be surprised if cannabinoids would have some beneficial effect if other treatments have failed.

If you want to learn about endocannabinoids, the easiest thing would be to start with wikipedia and work your way from there. The sources at the bottom of wiki pages are usually quite helpful.

One more thing:
If you want to try treating your OCD with cannabinoids, but you're not comfortable with using cannabis, there are countries in which dronabinol (synthetic THC) is available on prescription. The closest one to Italy would be Austria. Theoretically, your doctor can give you a prescription for it which you could then hand in at an Austrian pharmacy.

I have poor faith in wikipedia, but sometimes something goes right. I've tried all SSRIs, neuroleptics and antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiolitics, anticholinergics, and Provigil as a stimulant. Provigil is great for mental fog induced by SSRIs meds, but it increase a bit my anxiety and it crashes after a few hours, and i feel more depressed than before. I would try Vyvanse, but in italy anphetamines are illegal. any suggestions? i want my life and my brain back.
