Doing good

You people have been so helpful, I thought I'd post an update.

Here's what I'm taking

AM:
Provigil 100-500mg, split doses
Effexor XR 75-150

PM
Paxil CR 37.5mg
Remeron 7.5-30
Abilify 2.5-10mg
No more than 20mg Valium or its equivalent (any benzo except for Xanax)

B-blockers and BusPar PRN

It's a lot. It took me a long while to realize how severe my depression was. I feel pretty good on this combo.

The flexible dosing is the key for me. Paxil is my fixed framework, the rest can be adapted to fit my needs for a certain day/week.

I'd never tried buspirone before and was pleasantly surprised to find that it partially restores my sexual drive.

More importantly, adding Abilify was my doc's stroke of genius, it has made a huge difference, adding some zest back to my life.

I hope this helps someone.

Thank you, I read your answer to my post re:Savella (5/30/2011).

I gave milnacipran a shot but ditched it in short order, the urogenital side effects were way too much, even at tiny doses.

I had a very serious talk with my doctor -as in he gave me a lecture- about how serious my depression is at the moment. He is right, and I've finally accepted help. I'm not thrilled about feeling a walking pharmacy but.. whatever it takes.
