I know I'm 24 years old. I do not want amphetamine. I mean I do, but I know I can't have it. PLUS like I said this doctor treats me like a junkie. I AM NOT A JUNKIE. I AM A DRUG ADDICT BUT i don't steal and run and get drugs for every cent that I do have in the bank. Some people think that of me on these boards. Listen I read all the advice and seriously I want to thank everyone of you who is trying to help me. I just feel like I want to give up because nothing seems like it is working. I can't do anything from posting here. Only support. I can print off the posts and show them to my doctor but i have mixed emotions on how she will react. She's a angry doctor. I need to get another doctor. I don't want to waste people's time here with something that I can't control, and I don't want to drain people of their energy to help me when I can't help myself. I do appriate all the advice that was given to me. I just really at this point feel im going to give up and just not handle what I can't control. I take caffeine pills everyday to help with my ADHD. It sounds crude but its the only way to treat something that my doctor will not treat me for.

Why can you not change doctors? From what you've said, it seems to be the very 1st thing you must do on your road to recovery.

Matt, I think we all support you in here. I don't look at you like a junkie, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
In order for us to really help you though, we need to know how exactly it is that your mother has so much control over you.
Is she your conservator? Conservatorship is nothing to be embarrassed about - you can even fight it in court. I know of someone who did exactly that.
If she isn't, you need to find *some way* to get away from her. What part of the US do you live in, are you near a major city?
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?
