guess what: out of 47 days in rehab LOL!

Posted by rjlockhart04-08 on June 25, 2010, at 23:31:13

whats up babble

well it is good to be back and running. I went to this ranch that is like ... its a rehab, for chemical dependecy. I gotta tell ya, they took me off everything i took, i cant even take ambien anymore LOL! the doctor i saw there, and now she's my doctor... very strict and specializes in addiction, so guess what that means? no stimulants

Anyways, im pretty depressed about it, but ill be back up and running soon. What really makes me mad is they say you have a drug problem when you not even using drugs, or havent had that certain thing for years. Once your an addict...pretty much means it sticks. Now you can recover and go to AA/NA meetings and get envolved with working programs to help you stay sober but I never bought drugs off the street.

Next, i just hope this site will be my program on recovery and I will no longer post stupid posts for attention which i did in the past, but now looking at that....it was pretty dumb with a drama reputation.

Let's just all unite and beat our problems and become best at things which is offering advice.

Cheers

Matt

Hi Matt,

Never new that was your name. I remember you from a couple years ago. You sound a lot better! 47 days at a ranch. That sounds like a good way to rehab to me. Not that "any" way would be fun.

Not to be a bummer, but imho your treatment team is right. If you were abusing drugs (doesn't matter if they came from the street or the pharmacy) your chances for remaining in recovery increase exponentially if you accept that you are "allergic" to those drugs. Its not the labeling, "oh you're an addict" its more to remind you that you simply can't go near them.

I take some liberties in my response as I answered quite a few of your previous posts and felt helpless to help you. I've seen kids in your same situation and this is a risky time for you. You're coming out of a controlled environment, I encourage you to get in and stick with a program. I have seen AA/NA work, if taken seriously, no excuses, no "buts".

People, places, and things. If they trigger you stay away. That always made sense to me. Matt, this site can be part of your support system if it helps, but it won't work as your "program on recovery". Pleeeze, I'm just trying to help. Get involved in a "real" program for addicts.

Good for you for getting clean and I wish you all the luck in the world :-)

Hi matt,
I was just thinking about you and wondering how the rehab went. I'm sure it's been difficult work you've been doing. It's kind of like dealing with a chronic disease like diabetes. It's part of your life for the rest of your life, and you have to think about it every day.

Good luck to you. I have always believed you have a loving and sensitive spirit, and I wish you the best.

=LOL! i thought we where going to horseback riding everyday and cooking chickens and having gormet meals. We did have gormet meals, but not gormet time, it mostly working on paper work about recovery

=I went the other day to the doctor because I have an infection in my foot, and my mother before any other said "he's an attict, which means no pain medications or any other sort" man i couldnt stand it when she said that, i was like "shut up!!!" ROFL!!! but all of its good because eventually if I didnt tell a doctor that, they would find it out after a couple months of treatment. LOL! squared me down

=No butts, or butts in, lol. Alot of my "cry for help drama" gets me no where because the way i write them is "helpless" i gotta at least find a solution then try to let some person be my savior with a post that will solve everything with advice. There is some times where I just post my dispair because I want at least for it to known, then I get embarrassed that I posted them because i either get better and try to discard when I was really depressed. I've said things here i've regretted and now I have to watch all my actions and words to make it correct.

=The 12 steps .... work them. I love dr-bob.org/babble its the best. I can vent, but always know that everything you say here if it connected with you real name it can be used against you, never put the real name here.

But out of all thank you for your response.

Matt
