is xanax xr much better than the regular version?

Posted by qbsbrown on March 29, 2010, at 12:57:01

I am taking alprozalam 2mgs 3xs a day. I STILL get interdose wd. Xanax ultimately seems to induce far few depression than the rest of the benzos for me.

Is the XR version really that much better?

Or am I better of just switching over to diazepam, and not getting the wds? Although it does induce much more depression for me.

Regards,

Brian

Xanax xr doesn't always release right and some have to take regular inbetween. It was a horror for me. Phillipa

If it's the benzo that has the least affinity for depression/irritability, I wonder if it is worth a shot for me.

Or perhaps valium, so i can dreadfully wean off, and seems to be more commonly prescribed for MS.
