impatient peanut starting Wellbutrin-Parnate now

Posted by inanimate peanut on January 9, 2010, at 14:58:50

OK, I just can't wait. I need to get this done and then move on. I can't wait for my Jan. 20 appt. at Stanford. I need to be doing something to try to get better. The odds are that the Wellbutrin won't work (given my history of meds never working again once I stop them), but I have to try since it was one of my wonder drugs for so long. If only my doc had left me on the Wellbutrin and then started the Parnate I would probably be good by now and you wouldn't have to be annoyed by my daily posting. Yes, I know Phillipa, slow down peanut. I think I just get so anxious when I'm not doing something to try to fix my meds that I can't stand it. It's all I can think about (or talk about). I have to try it now. I'll keep you posted.

I hope you have reduced your Parnate dosage from 120 mg.

Good luck with the Wellbutrin!

I know Phillipa, but this is all I can think about. I have to start now. I think of it in bed, in the shower, in the car, etc. you get the point. I can't handle the anxiety of waiting.

Nope not at all,i am the same way, when i finaly decide a med will help me and it becomes a wait game, the wait is painful.BUT you have to hold tight and not get too anxious where u take other things as u wait, post here instead.

Let me leave u with my opinion, having augmented parnate to death what i found was this for me,

Parnate is like the layer of a pizza pie, alone its not tasty, however it is the best foundation for toppings,or cocktails.

I one day realised adding a single med wasnt working,so i tried a specific cocktail, its consits always of parnate being the highest and main drug of course,THE FOUNDATION,and then the aguments in moderate doses added,a benzo was always added in very small dose not because of anxiet alone, but because it had a synergy, and potiented the comb.

My combos work like this, parnate dose, additon in low dose of stims, low dose benzos, low dose mood stablizers.

This ended up being the only way.Currently im on a c*ck tail of,

50 mg parnate,
1 half of caffiene tablet,
.5 klonopin
100 mg of gabpentin
one camprel tabled (newest additon)
and literaly a pin drop of another drug i dont need to mention here as its not needed .

This is only my idea, but my point is until i realised that parnate was for me not a med that will ever work alone, and that a small additon of meds in low doses opposed to a high dose of a single addition was better at a combo.

Everyone is diffent, pls anyone share there way of taking parnate,id like to know.

I appreciate that you care. I really do listen, too-- I promise. Sometimes I just can't help myself but to do it anyway! Thanks for caring!
