Cee..YES Seroquel likely WILLcausehigh blood sugar

I am just responding to your post from above, but I wanted to make sure you saw this. ***YES*** Seroquel and all atypical antipsychotics can and very often do cause high blood sugar. You must get a blood glucose reading from your doctor. High blood sugar, especially over time, is very, very dangerous, and YES, it will make you feel horrible. (I know...I am a type 2 diabetic..and yes I have been on Seroquel for years.) Your doctor may likely prescribe a low dose of a blood sugar lowering med. Plus, you should also buy a home blood test glucose monitor. You check yourself often with this. Your doctor will tell you more. Any questions, please ask.

Jay :)

Jay wow that's an eye opener. If so there are a lot of diabetics. Are there any alternatives for those on antiphychotics. What about metforim? Phillipa by the way long time no see

That's why I hate the way doctors hand out APs like candy. They are overused in my opinion and most people don't know about the diabetes thing.
