Thanks for your kind words Phillipa. I don't feel very competent right now. I feel like a loser.

What if the Parnate doesn't work? Then what? I CAN'T LIVE LIKE THIS!!!1

Turns out I am going to Calgary afterall. I will be going on the 19th and staying two weeks. Ah, two weeks with mountains and horses. It doesn't get any better. Finally, something positive!

And it gets even better. I just landed an interview in Calgary for job where I used to work when I lived there. I am beyond excited now. :)

Calgary is above Colorado. About 2500 miles away from where I live now.

Driving would take 4 days. I'm flying, it takes 4.5 hours.

Three more weeks until Parnate. It would be two weeks except I will be in Calgary. I don't have the prescription and my pdoc is on holiday.

I'm really worried that I am starting to go downhill fast. I guess the Cymbalta was helping me more than I thought.

Three more weeks seems like an eternity. Will I make it?

Maxime,

You can and will make it.

I am concerned that you are going so long w/o any med coverage. Is your stay in Calgary lengthened by
your job prospect? If so, can you go back to meet your pdoc and return for interview? I think it's important to get your meds asap.

Can you reach your pdoc? Is he able to 'call in' a prescription for you which you could pick-up in Calgary?

If you miss your pdoc appt., can you have a phone conference instead?

Hang in there--and remember the bigger picture--you will make it. We are pulling for you. All to the beat of our different drummers ; )

hugs

Thanks FB, you always give me some hope.

It's expensive to fly within Canada and that is why I made the trip two weeks. I need time to do the things I want to do and to meet with friends.

There is no way to contact my pdoc whilst he is on vacation. And calling in a prescription to Calgary would be expensive ( I don't even know if a doctor can prescribe in a different Province). I don't have insurance in Calgary.

At least I know that when I start the Parnate my system will be clear of other meds :-) I just hope I don't deterioate on my trip. That would be brutal. I am hoping that working with my friend's horses will be therapeutic for me.

I am doing my best to survive, but it's hard. Plus I don't want to be a burden on my friends in Calgary. That's the last thing I want. Who wants a weepy visitor.

I'm feeling worse today. This morning I thought I felt a little hypomanic but it has passed and all I feel is depression. I have cried a lot today as well. My biggest worry is that something will happen to me in Calgary with regards to my mood. I pray it doesn't.

Back when I was on Nardil, there was a shortage in Canada. A friend lived in another province and could not get any. My pharmacist said if he "overnighted" his prescription, they could fill it and then I was going to send it by express to him..turned out he finally was able to get some. I've also run out of meds in another province and had my prescription transferred. Then when I got home just had it transferred back.

Your GP should be able to at least write you a script to take with you. My GP has done that when my Pdoc has been away.

Have a wonderful vaycay in Calgary!

I've been crying a lot today. To be honest, suicide weights heavily on my mind. I can't stop thinking about it. I want to die.
