and what do y'all mean by prosocial? I mean, obviously something like "more gregarious" "less socially anxious" but is there a nuance to the meaning that I'm missing?

'MAO' is the enzyme; 'MAOI 'is the drug that inhibits the MAO.

Right. MAO removes neurotransmitters from the body. If you remove the removing factor, the levels of neurotransmitters rise.
