Topamax generic. And if so did it work.
I just got a new refill and it is for the generic.
I haven't started it yet.
just wondered anyone else's experiences.

> rskI've used Topamax generic which I got from a mail order pharmacy in Canada. Since I pay cash for all my prescriptions it was much cheaper. I think about $100 for 100 of the 200 mg tablets. It was made by Genpharm in Toronto.
Having never had the brand name medication, I couldn't tell you how the generic compares. However, for me the medication had the following effects:
-It slowed my racing thoughts.
-It impaired my train of thought processes. Sometimes I'd be sitting there and I couldn't remember what it was I was just thinking about.
-It made sodas taste like sheeit. Weird.

Well yeah, its an anti-convulsant so it is being used as a mood stabilizer. Now I wasn't using it that way or so I thought. Orginally it was prescribed for me for migraines but p-doc thought it might have been helping keeping my moods somewhat under control and might be part of the reason panic attacks increased intensity after discontinuation.

> -It made sodas taste like sheeit. Weird.Yup all the things that the real McCoy does too. I could think ok on a dosage of less than 200 mg. But coke/sodas always tasted like *ss. That means it is working.

Rsk really? You got more anxious ? Interesting. Well if trileptal helped in a tiny bit anxiety guess topamax could also will google it later. See also if on nursing newsletter I get although sadly not nursing. Love Phillipa
