If you haven't tried e-cigarettes, you should! If you want any details or just my raving, let me know.

Yes!! Tell me where you got them and whether they work as well for you as a regular old Marlboro light. I started smoking a few months ago (again) due to stress but I'd like a healthier alternative.

I heard about these the other day as a national radio presenter lost his job over them:

http://www.ofcom.org.uk/tv/obb/prog_cb/obb132/

He was extolling their virtues on-air a little too much and contravened regulations on "undue prominence" of products.

I guess they must be pretty good as they claim he wasn't getting a back-hander from the manufacturer.

I got mine from Instead. They come up on a google search for ecigarettes. Great customer service. Don't buy pre-filled cartridges. They sound like a great convenience but are very unreliable as they can dry out during shipping. You buy a kit that has a battery which looks like the body of a cigarette, an atomizer which screws into it and a plastic sleeve which has a cotton wick at the base. You select the e-liquid you want- anything from zero nicotine to heavy and the flavor-everything from tobacco to Marlboro to cherry vanilla. I use mostly zero nicotine but keep a bottle of light nicotine on hand just in case. You charge the battery, the part that is white and looks just like a cigarette, screw in the atomizer, put anywhere from a few to 10 drops of liquid on the wick, place the wick, which looks just like a filter over the atomizer and start puffing. The atomizer heats up and turns the liquid into vapor which you inhale through the filter tip. The liquid is mostly water, flavoring and propylene glygol. I honestly prefer the taste to a regular cigarette. The end even lights up like the ember of a cigarette. The leave no nasty taste in your mouth, no smoke, nothing. They are absolutely great! And best of all- tobacco free.
Hope you like your's. I love mine.

This is interesting because I wonder how much the chemicals in cigarettes, not the nicotine or tobacco play a part in mental issues and even affect how medications may work.I think the average cigarette has about 1000 chemicals added to it,not sure though.I quit smoking for years and then I went back.I going to stop the cigarettes again the same way I did last time, cold turkey.

I read somewhere a long time ago that the incidence of lung cancer in 1900 was something like 10% of what it is now. And people smoked a lot more--unfiltered, at that. The study suggested that it's partly the fillers and chemical additives that are so toxic.
