Why is GHB so effective for social phobia?

Posted by Michael Bell on April 23, 2009, at 17:56:43

Granted, GHB affects a lot of systems, but I'm wondering if anybody have any theories on which mechanism in particular is most responsible for its anti-social phobic. Is it the binding to the GHB receptor? The inhibition of dopamine release? The release of oxytocin? The increased synthesis of serotonin? Anyone?

From your post i can tell you know the substance well. Not sure if u tried it,however its not a godsend.Usualy a dose that promotes social enhancment is also a intoxicating dose, leaving you in a stupour, and talking peoples heads off, yess its pro social, but it doesent feel real to me.

What i do love about it is how it potentiates my meds,im guessing the fact it ehances serotion turnover to be one of these reasons.

Kava before the fda provoked manf to pull all the good brands used to be the best,it had a ghb feel however at the same time it was stimulating.

GHB is good for when you just need a night off of misery, however its quite hard to use therputicaly espacialy without the addiction potential.

Its still a shame that because of xyrem veteran ghb users are now using gbl which is very potent and very much addictive.

If ghb was coke, gbl is strong crack rock.

Yess that site is propganda, trinka the moderator has made a living off of ghb.Not to say ghb doesent have its cons, cause it sure does, however it has benifits, theres a book published ghb the natural mood enhancer with many pro uses.

Best thing i think is just wikipedia it,and get cold facts neither pro or con on the drug.
