woah klonopin

Posted by sam K on March 27, 2009, at 16:27:42

I've been taking Klonopin generic for 2 weeks. Basically I'm taking it for bipolar. It helps when my mind starts racing and then I put dumb ideas into action. Today I feel my thoughts coming back like how I want to add meds and all this crap. To me its a sign of hypomania/whatever bipolar stuff going on. And I get destructive when I get like this. So maybe Klonopin is wearing off for this I don't know. I feel stable I guess.
Sometimes I feel more anxious after I take it. A few years ago it did that also.
Do I need another mood stabilizer/ anti bipolar med? I've taken Lithium and I don't like it at all. I took Depakote A LONG time ago and I think it made me worse anxiety wise. Maybe..... I know it had weight gain. I also remember a little bit of sexual dysfuction. I had a girlfriend at the time and I remember sexually I was terrible lol. I also took Zyprexa near that time too, so it could've been that too. I don't know for sure.
What about Tegretol? I tend to not respond to meds good at all.

Klonopin was the only benzo that gave me suicidal thoughts and depressed me. Went back on xanax and immediately was better. Every try lamictal? I did and it was okay although not bipolar at 50mg I started spillting saliva everywhere and had to get off it. According to google rare side effect. Phillipa

what is your bipolar? i think the kpin could be good help to prevent mania, but finding something that keeps you stable all the time would be better.
