Can you cut the dose of Lyrica in half by counting out half the beads? And if so, can those beads be taken by themselves (or over food) vs putting them in another capsule?

There has been numerous discussions I've seen of people trying to split capsules; the trouble is that you don't know the beads are uniform.
Yes, it is possible, but as for all medications I would probably be careful about biting beads, at the least they would be unpalatable and bitter. If you're putting them in food I would bury them in applesauce or something because they're bound to be yucky.
However, it doesn't seem as bad as the riskier proposition of dividing things such as Cymbalta so it probably wouldn't cause that much of a side effect.-- Jay

turns out there's white powder in these.

Could you just empty half a capsule or how much you wish to and use an empty vitamin capsule for rest of powder? Love Phillipa
