Does anyone know if the combination of Tianeptine and pretty vigorous exercise be a synergistic combo?
Any experiences from anyone?I am currently do fairly well just using exercise but am looking for something to augment it that does not have a lot of nasty side effects..
I have tried Tianeptine before and it seemed to be good at first then the benefits tapered off ( but I was also under major distress) - but I think these two would compliment each other well.
I found this link discussing a study on it, but , ahem, I hate to admit I have no idea what conclusion it comes to ; ) So if anyone could explain that I would appreciate it much...

Exercise and anything goes well together. Not to state the obvious.

Exercise is an EXCELLENT augmenter.
I wish I could get the depressed bipolar patients in our clinic to follow the American Heart Assoc. dietary guidelines and the government's physical activity recommendations.
I try to use as few meds as possible. I would much rather use 2 mood stabilizers at optimum doses than the cocktail of drugs I see a lot of people on (e.g. a mood stabilizer, an antidepressant, a benzodiazepine, an antipsychotic, sleep aid, etc.) Diet and exercise are often the ticket to simplifying the meds.
I do remind everyone to check with their general practice doc before they start any exercise routine.
