I know that lyrica is the newer version of neurontin and perhaps less side effects. But i didn't know if one was better for sleep or not.

> BrianI found Lyrica to be a lot stronger for sleep personally. Higher doses were very sedating for me, but in a much different way than the benzos.

> BrianThey're both similar but Lyrica can be more powerful and useful for some. It can also have more side effects. Neurontin can have diminishing returns over time, but not for everyone. In other words, one has to give both a trial. Basically one can't really go much further on Neurontin because it becomes ineffective after about 600mg each time, for 4 times a day (it just pees out.)
