Has anyone had their doc use abilify to augment for depression and what kind of dosing was used?

Thanks

Yes! It was my miracle drug. I currently take 20mg (along with 20 mg Lexapro, 750 Lithium, 400 Provigil). I'm on a high dose though. Many people only need like 5 mg. I am just a person who needs more of drugs to get a response.

Good luck!

Best,
EE

I take 2.5 mg of Abilify with 100 mg of Lamictal for depression. This combo has worked far more consistently for me than any AD has.

2.5mg and lamictal act as an ad for you? Any anxiety? Weight gain? Side effects. Sounds so promising. Phillipa

Yes.

> Any anxiety?

Nope.

> Weight gain?

I'm not sure. I'm about four pounds heavier than I was before Abilify and I suspect it may be to blame. I don't like the extra pounds, but four is not an astronomical gain.

> Side effects.

No biggies. I had about 8 weeks of insomnia upon starting Abilify. But it resolved.

Hi
Abilify has been recently added to my other meds at 5mg (very low dose) to help with major recurrent depression. I also take lamictal and prozac. Lamictal is alot like Abilify. Seems to be working somewhat for now.
