I am planning to ask my pdoc tomorrow for a trial of Nardil since nothing else is getting rid of my symptoms.
However, I have been on Geodon for six months and it feels like it is the only thing holding me together right now (well, that and my klonopin).
I know Geodon blocks a couple of dopamine receptors leaving more available for the other DA receptor and I'm wondering how this will effect the Nardil.
Any ideas?

Hi Marsha,
As I remember Nardil + Geodon really did nothing for me. However I think my Geodon was on a low dose. This sample of one really does not mean anthing. I think your MD has to keep a pretty close eye on the combination.

No, I haven't gained any weight at all on Geodon. In fact I've lost weight. But it's not from taking Geodon it's just from depression and anxiety and maybe from walking in the morning to try and help combat the depression and anxiety.
Geodon had no side effects for me whatsoever.

I forgot to tell you. For the first five months or so that I was on it, Geodon completely changed my life. I noticed a huge difference right away at only 20 mg. But every two weeks or so we had to raise the dosage by 20 mg because it would begin to poop out. When I finally reached 120 mg a day (this took the aforesaid 5 months or so), that was the maximum dose I could tolerate - I started getting this antsy hyper feeling like i was going to jump out of my skin. And it had pooped out again as far as helping with my depression and anxiety.
So now I'm down to 80 mg a day which helps but nowhere near like in the beginning.
