I must say i'm very happy with the nice lift i get from Mirapex. I am currently on 1 mg. daily. You have to titrate very slowly w/mirapex other wise the Nausea is horrific! I feel a definite increase in energy and motivation from it.

yes go slowly my friend, I puked my guts out on ropinirole several times from tirating too quickly, you have to be patient, great to hear it's working for you. I just wish I could afford ropinirole.

Awesome! This is just the kind of thing that I was looking for, i.e. the entire reason I was interested in, for instance, amineptine. I'll have to try it out for enhanced focus without the (to me, intolerable) adrenergic effects of your "classic" dopaminergic psychostimulants.

First of all, that's fantastic. Second, I was wondering how long it took before you felt the AD effect kicking in. I take it you're a treatment-resistant case?

Yes, definitely treatment resistant. I felt some AD affect at about 2 weeks.

Is mirapex action much different from bromocriptine, with which i'm currently experimenting?
Both meds are dopamine agonists on the D2 and D3 sites, thus they should have similar action. The only difference that i know of, is that mirapex is more selective and with fewer side effects.
Is this correct?
In case it is correct, does mirapex cause fatigue like bromocriptine is causing on me.

Individual reactions to individual dopamine agonists are very ... individual. However, on average I would suggest that Mirapex tends to be less sedating/weird than bromocriptine.

Pretty sure there's the best evidence for antidepressant use for Mirapex, though Requip is so similar that people seem to assume it would act more or less the same. Though it's been studied less. I think bromocriptine/parlodel has done slightly less well in the limited study it's gotten.

I do know an ex poster who has finally gotten better on .25mg of requip with a bit of lithium, and some vyvanase may be stopping and was on desipramine not sure if on it anymore. Phillipa
