I can't seem to find many. My psychiatrist and others keep telling me it won't work for "my kind of depression" which I know is dysthymia and which isn't responding that well anymore to standard antidepressants.
I want to try something so that the standard antidepressants work better and I wondered if there are any studies out there on ECT for dysthymia.

I know the general idea is that it is not as effective for dysthymia (unfortunately). From what I remember I don't think it has been proven to be completely ineffective, but just much less effective than other types.
