Cocktail advice pls

Posted by Jed_G on August 10, 2007, at 6:58:06

Howdi All,

My anxiety levels have gone through the roof recently as Im about to start a new job.

Currently taking 1300mg Neurontin with a small dose of 5htp b4 bed for sleep/mood, and a small dose of Ambien to knock me out, problem is that the Ambien is starting to make me feel depressed, and the dose of Neurontin required is slowly increasing.

I went to the doctor who gave me some meds to rotate, ie: Lyrica (alternative to Neurontin for sleep maintenance), and some Xanax to knock me out (alternative to Ambien)

Id like to know what I can mix with what, and at what dosages. Can I drop the Neurontin dose if I use Xanax with it, and if so, what would be a good dose to avoid being too groggy for the new job.

Also, will the Xanax continue to reduce anxiety into the following day without a top up?The idea of taking a benzo during the day sounds surreal (Im not THAT anxious):)

Thanks,

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

J

May get rebound anxiety from the xanax as short half-life. How bout a longer acting one like klonopin or valium? Love Phillipa

jed if you're in Australia, see if your doctor will give you mogadon, A it will knock you out for at least 6 hours and B you will be covered for anxiety all the next day unlike xanax which you have to keep taking because it has such a short half life. Valium will do the same too but mogadon is better for sleep. good luck
