Someone Stole my Xanax out of my car

Posted by rjlockhart on June 26, 2007, at 22:55:21

i swear i could kill someone for doing this.

I am so miserable, my cat just pooped and it stinks. GOD, let me go clean this crap up.

Im back. Somedip sh*t theft when i was at someone's house, i felt panic attack coming hard, i had to ride this whole thing, it was close to psychosis, i finally had to tell some help me there something wrong,

I was fine i was talking 90miles an hour about a movie we where watching, i was what i would say manic but no one knew it, everything was PERFECT, when im manic i just talk and make people laugh with just quick witted comments, thats what started it, its like axes in your head won't stop and they go faster and faster, the only way to vent it is to talk.

Some of my friends noticed i was really going off the walls, jumping in the pool (i went underwater to pray to jesus), doing flips on the trampiline, and talking while i was doing it, i never saw myself this intese. I felt i was the spotlight of everything. I love it when i get like this, but then it blows like circuts in my head and i start to have bloodshot eyes, red all over, I am so freaking fun,

But i noticed while everything was so good, something in my head, there is something that just triggered, and mental instablity starts but i act just fine when in my head im in mental hell.

I didnt have Xanax (not the whole prescription) but a sample just incase a episode happened.... which it did bad.

I started asking one of their parents can you pray for me before i go to the hospital? Thankfully the mom was a prayer intersessor for a company. If you have ever had a panic attack where your thinking your leaving your body that was what i experienced.

It peaked over 1 hour the maxed 45min into the hour.

Now i didnt act like a panic person (even though in my head i wanted to run in a hospital and say HELP) I was very as calm as i could be, but it didnt last good.

Eventaually it ended slowly, i was EXHAUSED for the 10 hours of non stop talking, doing crazy things.

I dont even know if Xanax would of helped this one, but i survived a bad one.

Now i hope who ever stole that out of my car gets caught.

I was so stupid to leave the prescription bottle out saying "Xanax" with the door unlocked.

But this was in a high estates neighboorhood.

Life is grand...............

Matt

Oh dear God, hope you've gotten it replaced???

(I always cover my meds w/ a bag or something on the floor of front seat and lock doors. I know though, I've taken a few chances, and explaining to a PDoc, well you know people lie about this. I know you're not!)

Good luck Matt. Hope UR ok.

if its a controlled substance, I think you're supposed to file a police report. If nothing else, the police report gives you something to show to your (potentially untrusting) shrink so s/he can see that it probably did happen (at least, you reported it) and then they might be more likely to help you out.

Its not worth to report because its gone.

It was only a little out of my car, but the first thing there going to ask is why in the heck wasnt your car locked.

I mean i dont know what to say, it was in a nice neightborhood.

Some dumb@ss, god that makes me mad because of the hell i had to go through that day.

I was thinking of telling u to do the same thing re: police report.

If cannot get meds, u prob' should go to an ER.

I've had pharmacies give me a couple days worth of meds which are addictive in some cases where I've missed the Friday call in.(?)

You can't just 'cold turkey' this stuff, or at least 'I know I couldn't.

(Sorry paulbwell. What did u do?.)

Hope ur doc will give you what u need Matt.

I better log off and stay off.

These posts are so often depressing, to read of folks troubles. I was interjecting with a post i hoped would make someone maybe smile, hell even laugh.

Actually because i LOVE Methylphenidate so much i have often/hell usually run out early.

I did once see a young female locum at my regular Docs surgery and told her some people who were over must have stolen my Rits, (i used em' up in two weeks) she believed me and scripted me another two weeks supply-God bless her little CD form writing fingers:).

Bad bad boy i know.

But Methylphenidates love for me, and mine for her will command such endeavours.

Cheers

Tks for understanding Paulbwell, and Matt and all following thread. I once had a doc doing an initial intake ask me 'Do u abuse your meds and refill them b4 they should be refilled?' w/o looking up at my face. I was insulted and didn't return to this P.

I'm actually having a bit of a prob' w/ a narcotic I'm on for back. I think I'm developing a tolerance after 3yrs on same dose. Don't know how to approach my doc about it.

As to yesterday, I react too quickly when anxious. (Bad time to shop!)

I won't forget to take my X at dosage times after yesterday's two blunders.

Leaving my meds in their 'colored tower holder' visible in an open purse in a grocery store isn't good either. It's more attractive than money I think. Keep purse off shoulder re: back injury. Would like to afford a nice over one shoulder backpack type purse. Usually I'll lock my purse into the cart like a child w/ those straps, but then 'I tend to wander away from my cart'. Yeah. Better learn to keep purse 'on me' no matter the weight. A couple times a store person has found my cart, thought it abandoned, and taken it away! This is really distressing as I spend a lot of time picking out what to buy. I'll take 1/2hr just deciding which gadget is best. (I hate shopping!) So, what's in my cart 'is golden', ya know? Maybe I should go directly to the toy dept, buy a kite, and hook it to my cart, or maybe a rake from the outdoor dept, spoke side up, and put it in cart sticking upwards. I'm on SSD. It says as u enter Wal-Mart, inform us if you have a disability and we will help u. Will they push, and stay w/ my cart while I wander?

Ok, wish better day to all.

Hey Hey Man,

It sucks myself that i dont have anything to help me concentrate, even though i am "classified" bad ADHD, which i forget things left and right, its like every day is sluggist then i have panic attacks because i feel my responsibilties.

It really sucks. I hate having to take Prozac to compinsate for ADHD. I cant get in to the doctor because of my mother. "YOUR NOT GOING TO THE DOCTOR!"

I had a similar experience and swore it would never happen again. Now, when I get my refill, I divide it up and put in in 3 used prescription bottles. I carry one in my purse, lock one in my glove compartment and hide one under my personals in my drawer. And guess what! I've never run out again!

I also skip a dose every now and then so I always have extra at the end of the month...resulting in an emergency stash.

Thank God you had someone to pray for you...without prayer and the Lord's help....I would not be here today.

You know, the reason why it is so hard for people to get early refills due to legitimate emergencies (such as a REAL theft) is because people do exactly what you did. Doctors assume that everyone is doing what you are doing, and so the people who really need help are denied.

I just wanted to add that this did not make me smile or laugh. It was more depressing than the original post.

I am not trying to "Flame" you, but I think that it is really insensitive to Matt to brag about how you got an early refill when you didn't have a legitimate need for one. That's just not constructive or helpful.
