I have never had any problems. If anything it has made a kinder, gentler me. I am actually terrified to stop taking it. If I do, I will probably do bodily harm to someone else. I was a very angry person prior to taking Lexapro

I think of myself as having a hard time adjusting to meds...adjusting to Lexapro was hard for me, at first it made me kind of agitated and it was difficult to get a good nights sleep...if you stick with it though it does help after a few weeks, after a few months you have a good chance of full remission of your symptoms..
in most cases the cure is not worse than the disease in my opinion...depression/anxiety is a chronic condition that must be managed day to day like if you were diabetic or had food allergies etc..its important to respect the condition and respect the treatments..

I was on Lexapro for more than a year; at first it was great. I slept, I felt good. Then I kept getting more and more depressed. I went from 10mg. to 20 mg. I even tried 30 mg., but nothing helped, and I became very sick and suicidal. We all have different neurochemical makeups, and Lexapro was not the medication for me. I had never been suicidal before, nor have I been since I got off it.

I have just gone through an angry time on Adderall. Started 5mg of Lexapro and was immediately a better human being. That said. When it stops working it slams you.
So sad.
The clock is ticking as there is always a meltdown for me. If Lexapro would hang in there for me I would take it forever.
