Hi all,
My meds always poop out.I binge drink on average every night to every second night, (atleast half a bottle of spirits).
Has anyone ever Pooped out then stopped drinking and had the meds work 100% again, Ive tried going without alcohol for 2 weeks but it didn't help.

It has been my experience that once a med poops out it never works again.
I have also noticed thtat if a med worked for me in the past, and I try it again, it never works on the second time round.

Even going two weeks sober would not restore normal biochemistry in the brain. Expecting an antidepressant drug to fix that kind of distored brain chemistry is something liking trying to drive a car with the parking brake engaged.
People with dual diagnosis, i.e. substance abuse and concurrent mental health diagnosis, must first address the substance abuse issue. Attempts to treat the mental health issues first almost never work (except in schizophrenia).
