Maybe it's just me, but seems like everyone around here is changing meds right now.

Sounds just like me when discontinuing meds and poop out (are the the same thing?). Really wild mood swings. Effexor was the worst. I can really simpathize with you, you don't know weather you're coming or going. Have you tried using a mania stabilizer like Depakote when you change meds? I've found that it can help.

I'm changing from 3 successful (and fattening!) months onseroquel 300mg
cymbalta 120mg
provigil 200mg
clonopin .25mgI think the end goal is
seroquel 0
geodon 160mg or higher
provigil prn
clonopin prn
anti-depressant to be discussed furtherpresently I'm on my first day off of seroquel (okay, I have a couple 25mg saved to help me sleep)
25mg benedryl pm
geodon 160mg
cymbalta 90 mg (pdoc wants to get this down asap, 'cause I'm having PaNiC :(
clonopin <1mg in 2-4 small doses split throughout the dayokay. back to work
so, in a nutshell, I'm coming AND going. haven't reached steady state of geodon 160 yet. haven't gotten used to smaller dose of cymbalta. having really bad insomnia. probably 'cause I got used to seroquel's sedation.
question:
is geodon an effective mania stabilizer for anyone?question:
never had a history of mania. could I have mania. crap. that would be bad.aaaahh.
oh well. at least my place is getting cleaned up.

Never tried it myself

Hypomania is not a full blown mania, some types of anxiety and restlessness can be described as hypomania. I wouldn't get too concerned about it as it is not uncommon with the switching or withdrawal of meds. It doesn't mean you're bipolar or anything, it's just a temporary chemical thing.

I've been in touch with doctor. I dunno what we're going to do.I've had zero side effects from starting the geodon, except GI stuff, and some mild "activation".
But, since we've been tapering off of seroquel, the bad stuff has started happening, like the super-hyper and the insomnia and mood instability and stuff.
The good news is that the reason for the med changes (seroquel = munchies = 20 extra pounds of LlurpsieNoodles) and (cymbalta = no sexy feelings, no big O ).
So far the munchies are MUCH improved. The big O will have to wait for a special occasion. I'm thinking valentines? maybe my cymbalta will be low enough for me? who knows...
In the meanwhile, I'm trying to stay busy.

had a decent vodka with lunch
lay down and read an account of the origin of the Peleponesian War
felt generally creepy, and

I think that should have a trigger warning on it. I get crazy even contemplating reading the history of an ancient war.
I think I learned some history at some point. probably pooped & peed it away with the rest of my neurotransmitter metabolites.
I gonna go curl up in bed and read the history of the Vlad Dracula. I get to go to Turkey, and communist Hungary and Southern Pyrennees. And it fits in the palm of my hand.
sure wish the rest of my readings fit any of the above criteria.

much sedated. much less maniac. bless the klonopin. don't worry still had plenty of pep to prepare dinner (soup from scratch) and clean mouse droppings from behind my refrigerator.
I'm very worried about multiple mousies at this point. that was a lot o droppings. I gave my vegetarian roommate ultimatum. one more day of humane catch and release (7 days unsuccessfully deployed) and then the real stuff will be unleashed.
My inner buddhist is tormented. I think I will allow the landlord to place the poison cakes.

pdoc told me to take double my usual clonopin dose cause yesterday I was feeling so hyper.
now today I have a hangover. feels like I was doing vodka shots and dancing on tables into the wee hours.
hope i'm not getting a cold. people around me are getting a cold. ugh.

I'm in the process of going off 3 different meds at the same time; Zoloft, wellbutrin and Lyrica, so that i may start Parnate. My symptoms have been:
Headaches
Fatigue
body aches

Sounds like you've got the flu...
today I'm off seroquel for good. I cushioned my fall with 25 mg 2 nights ago, but last night. bye bye.
doc has me on enough clonazepam to make my mind run in a straight (albeit, slow) line, rather than the little circles I've been running around earlier this week.
Therapy has been hard too. ugh. can't think straight. more tears that I prefer.
Seriously Monte- sometimes I prefer the somatic symptoms (until I have them) over the psycho symptoms. How about you?
Warm fuzzy hot water bottles for you and bed rest.

Sounds interesting. The southern Pyrenees is good for histories of witchcraft and the Inquisition.
I've always wanted to go to Hungary and Latvia...very good bone structure...and to Sigishora, of course.

I didn't make it to the book last night. I cried myself to sleep. In anticipation of my therapy (today) that explored topics related to the Inquisition. The inquisition of how llurpsie's parents weren't all that they cracked themselves up to be. Episodes of torture that I still cannot bring my voice to speak. I wrote them though, and gave them to T. She said that we can talk about even the scariest stuff gently and with caring.
And when I remember those words, tears come to my eyes, because they come from someone I pay, and not from my parents. The caring is more real from her than from my own mother.

just so that this doesn't get moved elsewhere, I continue the ongoing saga of my withdrawal pangs from cymbalta/seroquel.
upped my dose of clonopin to 1g daily. that makes me feel lethargic, not too upbeat.
have had a very bad headache all day long, but at least it's not throbbing. I've been taking naproxen as needed. Do they sell Naproxen over the counter in Declan land?
It's the best for my particular lurpsie brand of headaches
chamomile tea and no dark chocolate after 4pm.
I've been off caffeine now for 5 days. I feel so... unlurpsielike. like a lump of blub that I just drag around barely tethered to my former self. Why oh why?

They that bad? I have some that are pretty creepy and I'm not sure if they are real or not. Childhood is such a sensitive state (despite the behaviour of some children). 'Should a man harm a hair on the heads of one of these little ones, it were better that a millstone were hung about his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea' or whatever it is.
Anyway the change in drugs isn't helping atm.
Yes, they sell Naproxyn OTC here, and bugger all else.
I'm not familiar with the recommended dose of clonazepam, and I know you take a bit, but 1g a day sounds like enough to build a decent meth habit on.

I'm really sensitive to the idea of being addicted to a drug, benzodiazepines in particular. I've always been very adamant about no drugs (street drugs) and have never smoked a single thing in my life. I even get freaked out when I am drinking one beverage a day for couple days in a row.I've had this discussion with my pdoc many times, who tells me that I'm not taking enough of it (klonopin) to live my life without crippling panic symptoms. I resist taking this drug like it's poison.
It would help me a little bit if you would reconsider comparing a prescribed Rx to meth (unsure which meth you are referring to, but either one is unrelated chemically to clonazepam).
Also, there are other good reasons for me to be on an anticonvulsant.
I find this criticism of my dosage and pdockery a little upsetting. At the moment I'm trying very hard to keep myself put together and the klonopin is helping a lot, in my opinion. The pdoc really has to tell me at least once a week to take the dose he prescribes. That's probably because I keep writing panicky emails to him about being manic panicked for a couple days and insomniac and stuff.

going to the pdoc today
have emailed him articles on Tianeptine in hopes that he will agree to monitor me
the plunge (lexapro slams you at the end)is horrible
i feel hopeless, helpless, and i am not yet numb but will spre you the long list of negative thoughts
it was nice feeling "okay" for a while
