Dazed and Confused!

Posted by Crazy Horse on January 25, 2007, at 11:26:56

Just when you think things are going well, you begin to develop tolerance to a med that is working for you (in my case Lyrica) and just like that the whole world comes tumbling down!!!
I don't believe there is a medication that eventually your body won't develop tolerance to. This has happened to me too many times to remember in the past 26 years!

Help..I'm running out of F*cking Meds!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking on the bright side, perhaps it's not tolerance..... People go through good phases and bad phases whatever med(s) they are on. Things could improve in time. Also, have you been subjected to any unusual stress lately which might be worsening your condition?

Don't panic just yet....

Thanks to both of you for the support and encouragement. As far as any new added stress, no.

Well now, is Lyrica one of those meds that one can lose tolerance to after a break? A break would be no fun, of course, but that would still be preferable to never working again- like what happens to a lot of people who have maois or ssris konk out. Now, benzos and stimulants, on the other hand, tend to become re-effective after a good break.
