Hi all, finally got my new house with the internet up and running. So far the patch doesn't seem to be working too well for me (12mg a day.) And I am the big MAOI responder! My question is has anyone out there pushed it higher than that? Anyone using more than 12mg?

Glad to see you back. I'm still sitting on the fence with samples of EMSAM. So you're not getting desired effects on the higher patch. Any insomnia? Love Phillipa

Hiya Phillipa, glad to see you too! Nope no insomnia but then again I am taking enough ambien to knock out a horse ;-) No extra energy either like so many others have reported. I don't know, I am just used to the kick-*ss feeling from the other MAOI's and this is sooo subtle. I want to feel better with a capital B! How have you been doing?

> JHHI TERRY!! Long time Girl! I failed on EMSAM, for me it was weak..didn't even compare to Nardil or Parnate. I gave it a 2 month trial. For me, High Dose Lyrica, 300 mgs. b.i.d. is kicking *ss..it makes me feel GREAT! But, just because EMSAM didn't help me, doesn't mean it won't help you. And i have heard and read about people going as high as 18 mgs. with success. I wish you well, and am glad you are back. :)

Actually I like your response to EMSAM as a subtle response is what I would like. Since my anxiety is primary. I really don't want the kick. Love Phillipa

EMSAM is very subtle compared to the big power houses Nardil and Parnate!

And the idea of weight gain terrifies me as I had a gastric bypass back in 1999 and have seen my weight go back and forth since then. I just can't take anything that will let it go up again.
