Hi, I am weaning off geodon and staying on Lamictal alone (my diagnosis is BP2 or 3 - at least cyclical depression) I am terrified!!!! Does ANYONE take JUST Lamictal and does that work for you?

I think I'm taking lamictal with an ad as an augmentor. Are you getting any side effects from it like tiredness? Love Phillipa

I have Bipolar II along with multiple other diagnoses and other undiagnosed disorders as well.
Back in 2005, until May, I used to take Geodon and Lamictal together. I took 20-40mg of Geodon and 200mg Lamictal.
Geodon was bad. It was causing me to cycle, and during a trip to Disney World back at the end of April, I almost ended up at the state hospital in Florida. I was in the ER for a few days due to suicidal ideations and bad depression mixed states. We had gone to the trip for my birthday, and this experience ruined it!!!
After we got back home, I went off the Geodon on my own in less than a week later.
I did heaps better.
I was on 200mg of Lamictal by itself then. I was more stable then.

I so APPRECIATE you responding! it is REALLY awful to be in a med change. You say "was" in refenrece to Lamictal. Are you no longer on it? Do you mind sharing what you are on and if it works for you?

I do and I've been on it for about a year now. It's been great but...now it's pooping out on me. Sorry my news isn't more positive.My diagnosis is BP2 also and the good news is I'm on 400mgs and I've hardly had any side effects. I still am better than I was without it but I'm going to need something else as well.
