Increasing more the Xanax

Posted by tepiaca on June 3, 2006, at 3:32:13

I have found most of my suicide thougths
are related to the lack of social interaction.
The incapacity to talk to others , to feel
well inside a group of people. To feel motivated
to say something.
Yesterday was hell even with my 3mg of Xanax.
1 morning ,1 noon and 1 evening.
In this moment 3AM Im afraid of posting this
because you may think im always repating the same
things . I hate this disease !!!
So I know you r gonna tell me not to increase it
But what to do then? . I need a good effect
or Im gonna get desperate again.
Klonopin didnt´work . Any other benzo similar
to xanax ? Maybe a well shot on Valium
and its true , I started on 1mg and now Im on
3mg , and I feel I need more Xanax.
What would it be my top dose?
Just wanna stop suffering

Tepi give valium a try it's longer acting and you need something right now. As your anxiety decreases you will take less hopefully. Love Phillipa

Hi Tepi

After taking a dose of Xanax, how long do you find that the effects last? You might need to alter your regimen.

Dear Tepi

I think you should increase the Nardil, despite the side effects. Please try it :)

Hi Tepi

Yes, Tepi, I do. If it's not helping there's no reason to keep taking it.

Edyy I read xanax is the only benzo that must and can be withdrawal with the same benzo. For example , before xanax I was taking 0.5mg of klonopin daily and I changed to xanax in one day. I did not feel bad , no witdrwal symptopms of the klono
This would not happen with Xanax , rigth? I cant´just change to another benzo and forget of it , I have to taperring down first is that right.

Anyway I think I need a benzo eddy . Maybe try Valium or something else . Why did xanax give me false hopes? . I had some great days that makes me hesitates to stop it and wait more . What other benzo comes to your mind?

Tepii

Hi Tepi

If you want to try a different benzo you can gradually decrease your Xanax while you gradually increase the new benzo.

Will you try diazepam (Valium) next? I think a long-acting benzo would be best. Do you have a list of all the benzos available in Mexico Tepi?

>Why did xanax give me false hopes?

I don't know Tepi, perhaps you have developed a partial tolerance to it :(

Greetings!

Ed

I switched from Zanax to Klon in 2 weeks. No problems. Althought they are listed as apx the same strenght MG/MG the Klon stays in your system 3 times longer. I found the transistion seamless. Replace the Klon at night first and then every 4 days switch 1/2 mg Z for 1/2 of K. I agree with Ed. Valium is the best benzo for tapering. Refer to the Ashton manual for a recipe for tapering. Buckeye fan supplied the link. Hang in there. Klon works great for social anxiety. You have mentioned that is a symptom that plagues you. Many experience depression on Klon alone. Supplemented with an AD it has worked woders for me with GAD. I remain on the same dose that I started on with no need to increase. Be aware that Klon will not help much with depression. It may worsen it.
