Just a thought, but since geodon's dopamine antagonism probably caused this, and maybe screwed with dopamine receptor function somehow, it might be worth trying a dopamine agonist like bromocriptine or pramipexole. If the dopamine receptors have somehow been screwed up in terms of architecture or responsiveness, a dopamine agonist might be able to reverse that.

this movie is entertaining but has a serious WARNI

this movie is entertaining but has a serious WARNING, especially TD in children

geodon blocks dopamine aggressive ive read and therefore causes 50% TD people taking this drug,

Abilify on the other hand did not cause TD after i quit it,

the geodon can be compared to anafranil, my aunt is taking that, it also changes heart rythm

i'm not proud of my movie, but lets face it, i lost lot of friends

I'm sorry you had the experience you did on Geodon, but there are thousands of people who have taken Geodon and other neuroleptics successfully. TD is a reality with ANY neuroleptic, including the one I take, Seroquel, and if your doctor did not discuss the possible reality that Geodon or Abilify or any of the atypicals can possibly cause TD though less than old line antipsychotics, than he did you a disservice with not performing "informed consent." Informed consent means, you know the major side effects of a drug, and you agree to take the medication. I don't doubt that this could possibly be TD, but I have yet to hear anything about an AIMS exam which would establish the level of TD you have, if you do have it. It is a standard measurement diagnostic and takes no more than 5 minutes with you in your chair and your doctor giving you instructions.

sincerely

Jeroen, are you doing better?? I had this symptom as well as many others.. profuse sweating, muscle pain, nausea and vomitting, etc. and the doctors said it was serotonin syndrome, which can be very very serious. They discontinued all my meds and I got better. I was on celexa and trileptal at the time it happened, but had also been on seroquel and ativan. The syndrome became worse while on the celexa and trileptal alone. If you haven't already, I would suggest you inform both your pdoc and your family doctors. Hope you are better!
