Anyone take Lamictal {only} for depression anxiety? I hear it does not affect sexual function and was wondering if it works on it's own for depression and panic, or must it always be combined with an ssri simply as a mood stabalizer?

They say lamictal is good for depression don't know about the panic. Love Phillipa

I take Lamictal with an SNRI - Cymbalta. I take it for mood stabilization, but more importantly, it helps with my anxiety. I take 200mg/day; half and night and half in the morning.
I found that SSRI's did nothing to improve my depression.

Lamictal is not quite working enough for me. I am taking it for the same reasons. Doc is trying to figure something out right now. I'll keep you posted.curtm
