Do you notice that it's on throughout the day, or does it not bother you at all? Also, does anybody know if your allowed to go in the water (swim) with the patch on?
Sorry, I couldn't find any other threads covering this topic. I'd very much appreciate if somebody on emsam could answer these questions.

I'm not on EMSAM but considering it. Like the idea of the patch. The ones on it it say it sticks if you don't use lotion. back or chest, thigh good areas of placement but I don't think you should shower on it or be in extremely hot water. I could be wrong. Love Phillipa

I'm considering Emsam--but the patch kinda makes me feel yucky. Don't know why, but I feel like it's like a parasite. Sort of sci-fi-esque. Not that I've had one, but it's how I imagine it.
I'd much rather take a pill.

After I put it on in the morning I don't seem to give it a thought all day. In fact, I've noticed there have been days when for a moment, I can't remember where I placed it.
Just yesterday I saw my doctor and asked about swimming and hot water as I love to take hot baths. He told me to soak all I wanted, to swim and not worry about it at all. His feeling was that the drug co put a warning about heat as a precaution, that it was unlikely to have any effect on changing the release of selegiline.
That said, I'm ready for a hot bath and this time I'm not going to worry about keeping my arm/patch elevated and out of the hot water. Rob

I haven't been swimming yet but I ride horses for hours at a time in Fla. so I get hot and sweaty and it stays on. It also stays on in the hot shower, I peel it off while I am in there. I have had no rash or irritation of any kind and I have really sensitive type skin. I guess it is getting too old and leathery...my skin I mean.
