I have posted before that I am liking some of the benefits of Emsam but having trouble with irritability. I posted this on another site and got someone who said her doctor prescribed Lamictal to couter act some of the irritability. Does anyone here have any experience with that drug or know what it is?

Hi,
Lamictal is an anti-convulsant which is also approved for use with bipolar affective disorder. It tends to help with the depression side of bipolar, and it's now being used in unipolar depression as well. Irritability can be a sign of depression, so that may be why your pdoc suggested it.I take 100 mg Lamictal to augment 52.5 mg Nardil. It's helped to kick residual depression and helps me keep Nardil side effects to a minimum by keeping the dose low.

Thanks for that info...I just don't want the tiredness and brain fog to come back...I'll take anything that will help, but it is nice for a change to not feel so sluggish...
