Salt craving?

Posted by fires on February 24, 2006, at 17:44:49

I've had it for some time now. Salty corn chips is my standard lunch. Nothing else except a beverage.

Has anyone experienced this with Lamictal and/or Wellbutrin?

I realize that it cold be an early symptom of Addison's, but that would be a statistical long shot.

Thanks

Do you have other symptoms of adrenal insufficiency? Typically there is severe fatigue and profound weakness, fever, etc. I have AI and I was quite severely ill before I was treated. Interestingly enough my depression resolved upon treatment for AI! Don't go by statistics, as you are not a statistic.

I made a post but apparently didn't send it. Anyway, I have moderate to severe fatigue (dxed with CFS many years ago). No fever or profund weakness.

I take Florinef for POTS (postural othostatic tachycardia syndrome), which affects electrolytes.

Last May I had a severe worsening of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (constipation subtype), for which I now take Zelnorm.

I'm drinking some Gatorade today as an experiment.

Could you have been taken over by the Salt-sucking alien from Star Trek? :-)

Sorry. I just couldn't resist. I should learn not to blurt all the odd associations my brain makes.

Hope you find some answers.

I think I may have been abducted by aliens, and they are using me as an experiment, or maybe the guys in the black helicopters are spraying some chemical from above at night.

Seriously, at noon today I wouldn't have written this -- just didn't feel well then.
