I'm off all meds for the past few weeks.
I feel pretty good. I'm not irritable and prone to rages (from the Wellbutrin) and I don't have anymore nasty withdrawl from the Effexor.BUT - I can't sleep. Also - I'm knee deep in perimenoapuse symptoms - night sweats, headaches, hormones that go up and down.
I'm seeing my doctor today about getting on BCPs to help with the hormonal symptoms.
I'm worried that since I can't sleep, it will only be a matter of time before I start having emotional/mental issues - depression, irrational rages.
I probably just need a mood stabilizer - but I don't know.
Any suggestions? Right now I'm tired and taking too much caffine.

Not sleeping is not a good thing. Fondly, Phillipa

My two cents worth: (I am 63 years old and ten years post menopause.)
I STRONGLY recommend that you see a competant gynecologist and have your hormone levels checked before you do anything or take/change any medication.
