Klonopin really makes you depressed, well for me, and i have heard from others to on this website. I dont know why it does, i think it depresses a certain region of the brain that other benzo's dont. I was on Ativan 6mg, i didnt have a problem with depression, but it didnt help panic attacks.
Xanax i dont know, i never took, but i have heard its a "relief", but right now i hate where i am. Maybe i should go back to Lorazepam[ativan].
Klonopin lasts long, and i have to endure these depressed sedated periods, which i hate.
What, well what do you think is the best choice?

I don't have a whole lot of experience with benzos. Xanax is the only one I've tried, and I liked it. I took it for about 6 weeks during an intense anxiety time of my life, up to 2mg a day, but now I hardly ever need it, though I must admit I never go anywhere without an emergency stash.
I found xanax to have some mild antidepressant properties, and it stopped anxiety and panic dead in their tracks, and made me very comfortable in situations that were normally extremely uncomfortable for me. Back in the old days I think it was one of the first antidepressants. But ya know, xanax will be nice for some people and lousy for others. You know how that goes.
But if clonazepam is depressing you, yeah, I wouldn't hesitate to switch. Xanax is a good choice I think. You could always fall back to one of the others you are familiar with if you didn't like xanax after trying it.

Xanax definitely works for panic attacks and sublingually faster. Fondly, phillipa
