I feel very bad now

Posted by Tepiaca on August 30, 2005, at 12:23:19

I´ve been off from medicines for about two
months. I started to feel well after stopping them . More like a normal people, but now I am feeling so bad. I lost my girlfriend one week ago and I did not received the funding for my postgraduate studies. Suicide thougths are in my head again, I dont wanna take again more medicines ! it makes me feel abnormal.like a robot. Everything sucks. Maybe I could be better dead. Much time in this condition , I want this to finish.

Gee Tep, that's awful.

Am I right in thinking that Nardil was good for your depression, but not for your social phobia, and that you felt even less depressed/better when you stopped for a while? (If that's right, some people find *less* depression for a while after stopping, for a month or two).

You need a high tolerance for pain in this life eh?

Now that there's less life left for me (on the home straight, so to speak) the hurt of it doesn't stretch out endlessly like it used to.

dec... nardil was good for depression and for social phobia too(better that any other)although not 100%. But now off my meds, I dont have that fear and I cant understand why. I also feel more normal... more human.

But Im going down again, not for the fear , it is more depression now. I lost my apetite, I feel myserable. I bougth some SAM-E, do you believe I should try this?

Oh what a horrible feeling. I know from experience. How long has it been would be a question I'd ask. And do you have suicidal feelings? Fondly, Phillipa

Babblemail me any time you want to talk. I'll tru and help you in any way I can. Sometimes it good to talk to a female. As you know men and women think different so I might be able to help. I hope the nardil works. Try and get a good nights sleep. Fondly, Phillipa

Well Tep, I dunno if SAMe will work for you, but a fairly standard combo that I'm fairly sure has helped me on and off is....
SAMe 400mg/d
Deprenyl 1-2mg/d
Those doses are just what seemed right for me. Sleep was not a big problem.

Tep, when you say you don't want to again feel like a robot, are you talking about what Nardil does regarding sex?

Or something else.

You live in Mexico?

Did you read the thread a couple of weeks ago about someone thinking of using low dose Nardil with low dose deprenyl?

They sell liquid deprenyl in Mexico, at least it is made there.

Hi Tepiaca,
You really need to be back on the Nardil, but it is not going to work overnight. You sound like you are in such pain. Most people on this board know exactly where you are coming from. When I was really, really sick my PDOC at the time added a fairly high dose of clonazepam, just for the time it took for several trials and eventual success with Nardil. It can take the edge off of the anxiety, especially someone that suffers from social anxiety disorder. When the Nardil started to work, the clonazepam was reduced to 1 or 2 mg. I know you don't like the drugged feeling, but it beats dying.

You mention loss of appetite. This is not a sympton of atypical depression; for which Nardil is the gold standard. For melancholy depression, sometimes the tricyclics work better. Maybe something like nortriptyline with clonazepam for the social anxiety. Just a thought.
Please be Well.

thanks philipa, I feel just a little better. Im sad that I lost such a nice person because of this mental problem. She finally realized that she can´t be my nurse for the rest of my life. I do not treat her as she deserve to be treated. And now she wants to meet other men. I hope that If someday I married someone I wish it could be her. Im gonna miss her alot :(

hello dec

> Tep, when you say you don't want to again feel like a robot, are you talking about what Nardil does regarding sex?

no dec, it was not exactly sex. I realized that When I am on meds my feelings are blocked. I feel more healthy off meds, more like a human being, more like a normal person. Of course I couldn´t say that a few years ago, meds like Nardil and Seroquel have helped me alot. But now something is different. Maybe I should try something natural and see what happen.

Yes dec

hi jedi
I am also taking clonazepam, In fact I never stop taking it. It is not not such a high dose, only .5mg day. Higher doses make me depressed

>>I know you don't like the drugged feeling, but it beats dying.

Yes jedi, I wish I could feel normal someday
