hi there!
my best advice would be to try to forget what you read and test it out without being aware of the side effects. I guess that its too late now but think positively. I tried effexor and had good and bad from it...i know many people have had good experiences. so keep hopeful and I will too
take care and welcome!

well lets be positive and start with my good :-) ok? lol
My good were it made me feel better, I started eating and I was lifted out of depression. YAY! BUT I had to switch to the differnet type of effexor because of stomach upset...I wish I culd remember how it worked...is there an extended release?? that is what I had to get on I think...cause I felt really sick. And Im not a morning eater either and you do have to adjust for that....try something small.
BUT my bad...were that I couldnt ever miss a dose without expereincing really bad brain jolts....thought I was having seizures. For me that was scary, but it took along time for me to connect the two. I was not comfortable takin ga drug that did that....too weird. Secondly getting off it was horrible...took a couple tries and I had to endure a little bit of a black hole feeling and those brain zappies were AWFUL. But in retrospect...it lifted me out of a rut and even though it was hard to get off I didnt go down nearly as far.
If its untolerable have you ever tried wellbutrin or thought of it....I know this isnt probably accurate but *I think* they share some similar qualities.
let me know how your effexor lunch goes :-)
hey maybe you could take the pills at times that accomodate your eating sched???

Wellbutrin was much more tolerable for me. has it improved your mood at all? or maybe to soon to tell?

Wellbutrin was much more tolerable for me. has it improved your mood at all? or maybe to soon to tell?yeah it helps my moods when i am taking them i tried to take some pills this weekend called happy camper some all natural balance stuff. i can definatly tell when its time to take my effexor though and i can also tell when the half life affect is wearing off then i start to get edgy maybe that will change when i go up to 75 mg this week not sure i just dont want to get up so high on the dose that i cant get off them is my worry
