Okay, I know the weather is better all over the World, but everyone couldn't be cured in a day. So where are all of you and where are your med questions? Hello? It's lonely on here. Fondly, Phillipa

Don't be so sure of that!
:-)
I hear they're now selling magic pills over the counter at Wal-Mart.

Good luck.
It will be very interesting to learn what tests they perform on you and what treatments are chosen.
Get well.

Very funny Scott! But at least we got your attention. Oh, I did go to your site. A lot of work went into that. By the way do you live in Mississippi or NY? For some reason I thought you lived in a big city up North. Fondly, Phillipa PS I hate Walmart

Tried them and they didn't work, I think they're a cheap knock-off. I have a mustache now though.

You have to get the brand name ones, you can't get the Equate (walmart) type. They're not the same. You can also order them from walmart.com.

> My doctor mentioned ongoing computer based testing, I'll post about that when it happens I guess.
Well after getting pushed back I finally had my first apt at the ADHD Clinic. They don't actually have the computer testing going yet. Got mildly irritated with my new doctor, he kept asking "why do you do that?" and those types of questions. Bigtime pet peeve of mine, if I knew maybe I could make some progress, but I honestly don't know. So I was already nervous about being analyzed by software, after getting a little ticked off my brain went into total shutdown mode, not a very good advocate for myself that day.
He prescribed me ritalin, 5 mg twice daily. The first dose felt like a mixture of benedryl and red bull, with mild headache and nausea. Today I'm feeling very relaxed which I guess kind of confirms the ADD diagnosis.
So here's my question, for those who have taken ritalin, does it get more stimulating at higher doses? If not this stuff is not for me, at least not by itself. The calmness is nice but I really need some push to go along with it, I get more energy from a vicodin.
Thanks,
Rick
