ever fainted on wellbutrin?

Posted by genigi on June 15, 2005, at 21:25:30

Hi there. I have never really posted here, but i read you guys quite often... Have been on many combos in the last 2 years for GAD and depression. Last 3 months, have been on luvox150mg/wellbutrin150mg/zopiclone7.5mg. The reason I am posting today is because I experienced something verrrrrrrry scarry (scarrier than effexor withdrawal...) I was trying on clothes in a store and had to grab on to the walls, I nearly fainted. Maybe I did. Has it ever happened to anyone? Did you ever hear about the combo of chewing aspartame gum and wellbutrin? Txs for being there... It sure helps to read about others that are living similar situations...

That happens to me ALOT, well alot meaning once every other week or so. I even had it happen in a change room before. i dont know why its happening but I take wellbutrin so maybe?? I thought it was at times when I hadnt eaten or something but sometimes that dosnt explain it.

PS- I dont think you fainted, I think you maybe almost fainted or had a dizzy spell. I think Im having dizzy spells...ive definately known when I have fainted, i wake up on the floor.

Txs for the info. Maybe the channge rooms really suck, I'm sure it's those mirors that make us look thinner/tanned (lol). I often get dizzy but what I had yesterday was unreal... Txs again for your reply!

have you only been on wellbutrin for 3 months? It could be the change rooms, maybe its the lights or something LOL..or the mirrors hehe..maybe wellbutrin makes us more sensitive to the lights...also do you get dizzy when you stand up ever? I wonder if this is wellbutrin?

Are you sure you aren't sleep-deprived, or hadn't skipped a meal or something?

Feeling faint can really be attributed to so many things.

I HOPE it's not the Wellbutrin.

I did read that we should take care to not stand up too quickly... maybe it affects our equilibrium?

Yikes, I just started taking this and I felt faint sitting at my desk on Monday afternoon.

Mostly I had just thought it was because I hadn't been sleeping for a week.

Both are possibilities

true, but I do get it alot, maybe its sleep and eating related....very very possible

> I HOPE it's not the Wellbutrin.

ME too! It has been great for me

> I did read that we should take care to not stand up too quickly... maybe it affects our equilibrium?

It shakes my brain around, it doesnt like that at all. I think it disturbs the fluid in the inner ear which is in charge of balance. HAHA Totally just pulled that out of thin air, but it sounds good! no i think it may be true though.

Dont worry, I never ever ever read any side effects of medication until recently and I still dont notice many of them as bothersome until I find out they are side effects....kinda ditzy of me I supose. But I recommend not reading side effects until you are absolutely sure something weird is happeneing.

I would BET that is what it is, and probably for me too. more likely im dehydrated. But I wouldnt worry, if it is the wellbutrin it isnt so bad. Ive lived with it for 4 years or so and am just discovering the potential connection...Im kind of slow though

GOod luck with it!

I fainted once. I spent the day in the emergency room and they never figured out why. It could be anything. It hasn't happened again. I'd forgotten about that. Fondly, Phillipa
