Huh....looks like they overcharged for drugs, and have to give some money back. There's about $12 million up for grabs for any consumer who can prove they used the drug during that period. There's more information, and a claim form link on this page: http://www.remeronsettlement.com/remeron/docs/Remeron%20Summary%20Notice.pdf

So I guess this means we were charged too much. I only filled two Rx of mirtazapine, but was in the hospital for a week where my husband says I was charge over $5 a pill. Do I need to fill out a claim? It seems silly if my insurance paid for most of it. Fondly, Phillipa

I have taken it twice on two different occasions in the last five years but medicad paid for it! Even so would it mean that I would not qualify for any $$ compensation. I got the original notice about 6 to 8 weeks ago and figured that since my co-pay through medicaid was so low for my meds that it would not apply to me. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
Thanks
Snapper

I can't speak about medicaid and your situation, but I'm a real cynic when it comes to class action settlements like this. What the devil is a few million? Just a spit in the ocean for the drug companies. What usually happens is that, if you apply, you'll wait a year or more until the court determines the individual awards, and you'll be lucky if you wind up getting enough money to buy a Hershey bar.

Cubbybears' post above is probably on track in re: actually recieving any substantial $$ any time soon or later but none the less I have ingested the sol-tabs, mirtazipine (generic) and Remeron ....who knows?
