AH! Why, why, why am I feeling hypomanic again?? I'm on 600mg Seroquel and 25mg Topamax and 5mg Abilify. I was feeling pretty normal for about three or four days there. Now I'm back to feeling wired, restless, a little irritable. I kinda don't want to go up on the Topamax because I don't like the "dopamax" effect. Maybe I'll go up to 50mg (pdoc said I could). Or should I just ride this one out? Major question: I won't go truly manic on all these meds, will I?
Boy I tell ya! That Cymbalta is some strong stuff! LOL

Yes it's possible to go manic on those meds considering the potency of cymbalta and considering that people can go manic on just about anything. If i were you I wouldn't want to ride it out because you don't know where that ride might take you, it might just be a benign little up without the down or it might turn into the dreaded aftermath of hypomania; DEPRESSION. And that's a horrible trip to take.My philosophy is do whatever it takes to prevent depression and then fine tune it later in regards to feeling doped up on the topamax and what-not. Get yourself stabilized then deal with optimizing the good effects and getting rid of the side effects (which absolutely is possible, but just takes time)

> dmThe Cymbalta probably triggered an intense cycling pattern-kind of like aftershocks from a big quake :) It might take a little time for it to settle down since you stopped it. I take a double-dose of Depakote when I get "tweaky" every now and then and it works really well to tap the brakes. Hang in there!

I still don't know why I could take cymbalta 60mg and feel nothing. Fondly, Phillipa
