How much of all of the above are you on?

That's a lot of medicine.

I'll agree with you on that one. Which is probably the problem. 60 celexa, 3.75 zyprexa, 400 bupropion, 240 geoddon

wow thats alot of drugs! what is the problem exactly? ARe you anxious? that is a very high dose of wellbutrin, and for some people it could cause anxiety. The others I am not sure about But my best guess is the combination of them could be doing something.

I like taking the wellbutrin because it cuts down on my smoking tremendiously. The celexa my doctor just won't let down on.

My last spoken Dx is scitzo affective. I have also been Dx with anxiety from the time I went off zyprexa. 3 years ago my doctor said I looked depressesed. Supposedly the wellbutrin was for energy to counter the others.

Those are the most recent Dx's. Others include a major psychotic break in '97. Which was the start of it all. Which is the only reason I'm afraid to stop meds, that I would become psychotic again. But yes since the inception of meds my social life is nill. Basicly I don't talk. I'm not sure how much is my illness, or the meds. When I withdraw from meds now, I get major withdraw simptoms. Life sucks.

have you asked this question to your doc? I don't know really its a tough one...Im not really familar with geodon or zyprexa but If I was to guess I would say it was one of those two. If you are sure its not geodon ask doc about zyprexa. I don't think it would be celexa but I don't knwo much about it either. Wow sorry I just realized how useless my post is. But IMO consider the possibility of it being zyprexa, anti-psychotics are powerful and heavily sedating, I think, so I would assume they numb you a bit like your affect, which I could see leading to reduced social life.
hope this helps a bit

I think you are right that its the AP. I just fear not being able to function, and keep calm. What do i do? My doctor will NEVER talk about a reduction. Yes I do bring it up.

If you don't feel your doc listens to you or is willing to negotiate than I think it may be worth it. It is your life and you should be allowed to enjoy it!
Try with him again maybe and if he is unwilling to listen than check someone else out.
I hope things work out. It doesn't feel very good to have little control and to feel awful.

Gosh Sebastian, I'm sorry you feel so badly. I really can't help you with your meds. Maybe some of the experts will be back tomorrow. Fondly, Phillipa

Don't tell the doctor but I've taken measures into my own hands and decreased some doses, just to see how it goes. This will be a long treachuring story as I withdraw. I'm going to try to keep the doc, just make him see. Not to mention his price is going up.

I seemed to have permanently lost the ability to socialize due to paxil, (been off it for a while) I just seem so dull and uninteresting , thoughts come to slow to have a conversation, and it seems like I don't have an opinion on anything anymore, it sucks

Did you switch it for a different med? Do you take any other meds, now?

To replace the zyprexa. I don't take much zyprexa anymore.

Currently I cut down on geodon and celexa. I was taking a very high dose of geodon, 4 x 60 mg pills. Celexa was 60 mg, now 40, since last night. Geodon down to 3 pills. Maybe will get down to 2 geodon eventualy. Cut down on wellbutrin also to 2-3 x 100 mg pills instead of 4.

I took Geodon for about 6 months. Initially it worked great for about two months. I was outgoing, social, not hypomanic, and aggressive toward life. My mood was bright and optimistic, but in the course of one night it stopped working for all the things I listed above. The only time I leave my house now is to go eat and to go jogging. You might seriously consider dropping the antipsychotics and see where your mood goes.

Great idea!!!

What about anti-depressants? Currently I blame celexa and zyprexa, but you are right I am also starting to blame geodon and wellbutrin.

They all need to go!

So, I have droped bupropion down to 2-100 a day and geodon down to 2-60 a day. Better already! Celexa at 40. Still take a little zyprexa, 3.75, can't shake this one(I tried).
