Has anyone ever had the belief that they are already dead and in hell? It seems like a bizare belief but a person who has lost their memory or a depressed person might have this belief.

When I had severe (no, no...SEVERE) depression, I woke up one day with the brief thought that perhaps I had died and was living in some sort of hell or purgatory. Fortunately, the feeling didn't stick, but it was scarey nonetheless.

Not really but here lately, this depressed/agitated state has to be somewhat close to what hell must be.

Yes, during a severe psychotic depression I did have that delusion. It was brief but felt so real.
