Might a person take Halcion to sleep and feel anxious the next day?

It's banned in the UK but it's still used elsewhere!

I live in the US and use 0.25 mg myself every other night for my horrible Parnate insomnia. The maximum dosage was lowered to 0.25 mg some years ago, and I believe this has proven to be less problematic. I have not really noticed any significant problems myself other than an occasional headache the next day and also what I would call a slight "weepiness" that is sometimes noticeable the next morning. Some people might interpret it as a depressant effect, but I guess I tend to look at it more as an increased empathy and ability to feel emotion. I would not say the effect is terribly significant for me personally.

I think someone (or some people?) killed other people while on halcion. It was big news years ago when it happened.

Hi,

'In 1992, Halcion (Triazolan) manufactured by Upjohn was banned from sale in the UK. The reasons for this included the failure of Upjohn to disclose, in the licence application, information concerning frequent and disabling psychiatric adverse reactions as given in the clinical trials.'
